Presenting a Basic Handgun Course
for Men, Women and older Children

This course will be taught by Walt Sippel, an NRA Certified Instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience.

This course is designed to present the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for safe firearm handling, maintenance and storage. This is an excellent class for those who wish to learn to shoot or improve their basic skills.

The course is divided into two, 2-hour classes taught on consecutive Tuesday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will cover:

Safety Basic Firearm Identification Ammunition Stance Grip Sight Picture Trigger Control Follow Through Cleaning and Storage

There will be approximately two hours of supervised shooting time during the course. All materials, with the exceptions of centerfire ammunition, will be furnished for the class. (Range time, eye and ear protection, targets, guns, and rimfire ammunition).

The fee for the class is $125.00 and is due at registration. You may register at the counter or by phone.

This is a basic course. It is geared at giving you detailed knowledge of your weapon and the dynamics behind shooting.

You will have a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals. You will have a solid base upon which to build your shooting skills.

About the Instructor

Walt Sippel is a Certified NRA Instructor for Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun and Home Firearm Safety. He is also an NRA Range Safety Officer. He has competed in:
